All too often, the forgotten victims of crime are the children and families of the prison inmates, who are left to struggle in life through no fault of their own. The Angel Tree Project, an initiative of Prison Fellowship Singapore, aims to share the love of Jesus Christ with these inmates' children and families at Christmas and through continual befriending. Church volunteers in partnership with PFS will deliver hampers/gifts to the children and families on behalf of the inmates, who would otherwise not have the money or ability to do so. This creates an opportunity to broach a link between the church and the inmate’s family and through constant contact, help the family, and in due course, upon release, the inmate himself, settle into a church.
You can participate in this meaningful ministry by delivering the hampers to the inmates’ families. If you can, befriend the family and invite them to PMC. Ultimately, we hope that the inmates, when released, can be united with their children and families and the church in the love of Christ.
Delivery of hampers will be in December, actual date and time to be arranged by volunteer with the assigned family.
Please sign up at the Info Counter or via MyPMC app by Sunday, 13 November 2016. For more information, please contact Fiona @ 97892484. Thank you.
